Frank Dunn Triathlon - Aug 2012

In mid August of 2012, Darren Grabill had a very successful Frank Dunn Triathlon race. Darren placed 43rd overall out of 196 individual and team entries. Darren had the 25th fastest swim, 67 fastest bike, and 40th fastest run to finish the distance in 3:29:58. Bill Glanville placed 136rd in the triathlon finishing in a time of 4:09:19. "The Teen Team" finished in 116 place overall. The team consists of Josh Ehrlich doing the swim in 27:52, Joel Glanville doing the bike in 2:27 and Marissa Glanville doing the run in 51:05.

Saskatchewan Summer Games Triathlons - 2012

Curtis Glanville qualified for the Saskatchewan Summer Games by winning the Lakeland Trials held in Tisdale in mid June 2012. Curtis went on to the Summer Games in Meadow Lake in Aug 2012 to capture two medals. Curtis's team capture the Silver Medal in Individual Sport Relay 14-15 Mix, and a Bronze Medal in the Team Relay 14-15. Curtis also placed 7th overall in the Individual 14-15 Male race.

Calgary 70.3 Half Ironman Triathlon - July 2012

On July 29th, 2012 Sebastian Kaltenbach competed in his second half ironman triathlon. Sebastian finished 63rd overall out of 675 competitors. Sebastian finishing time of 4:47:51 was ahead of a number of "pro triathletes".

The Great White North Triathlon - July 2012

On July 1st, 2012 Sebastian Kaltenbach competed in The Great White North Triathlon placing an amazing 57th overall out of 699 competitors in his very first half iron man triathlon. Sebastian had the 45th fastest swim, 42nd fastest bike and 104th fastest run. Sebastian's overall finishing time was an outstanding 4:43:46. Sebastian placing and time qualified him to compete at the Subaru Canadian Ironman Triathlon to be held in Pedicton, BC on Aug 26th.

Craven Genki "Pike Lake" Triathlon - June 2012

In mid June of 2012, Lyle Bitmann competed in the Olympic/Standard distance at the Pike Lake Triathlon. Lyle finished in 51st place with a time of 2:46:21 for this distance. Karen Hadwen competed in the sprint distance finishing in 71st with a time of 1:38:03.

Brainsport's KOS Triathlon - June 2012

Two young triatletes from Melfort competed in the Kids Of Steel triatlon held in Saskatoon on June 23rd, 2012. Keely Hadwin competed in the Under 7 Girls race placing 4th with a time of 10:09. Her younger sister, Alia Hadwen, participated in the Tykes and Triks competition.

Bike Doctors' "Moe Triathlon" - June 2012

In May of 2012, there were a number of triathletes from Melfort in the Moe Triathlon. Lyle Bittman was the top competitor in "Larry's Long Course" placing 22nd in a time of 1:05:08. Michael Hadwen placed 67th in the same distance with a time of 1:17:43. Karen also raced the long course finishing in 97th with a time of 1:26:05. Kaeli Scott competed in "Curly's Short Course" finishing in 52th with a time 1:02:48.
